Just before the end of 2020, LonAgro Tanzania took the opportunity to close off the year on a high note with a final handover of 19 John Deere tractors as part of a larger mechanised farming package to farmers from the Narakauwo Village Group. The handover took place at Narakauwo village in the Simanjiro District, in the Manyara Region.
The total number of machines and implements handed over consisted of; 50hp, 75hp and 90hp John Deere tractors, together with FieldKing 16-disc ploughs, a ripper, a Rovic Africa boom sprayer, and a John Deere 1015 planter.
All the equipment supplied to the Narakauwo Village Group is financed by the TADB Bank thanks to the partnership agreement between LonAgro Tanzania and TADB Bank, which offers farmers world-class equipment through affordable financing options.
As part of the equipment acquisition, LonAgro Tanzania’s Technical Team has already begun holding training sessions with the farmers to ensure that they use it effectively to increase their yields.
2020 was an extremely successful year for LonAgro Tanzania, one which saw the company making several large machinery deliveries throughout the year.
